CyberWeek@LAC4 2025 Conference: Building Borderless Resilience in Latin America and the Caribbean
Edward Millington, CariSec Global Managing Director, and an EU CyberNet Expert Pool Member and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information Security, attended and presented as an Expert Speaker during the 4th CyberWeek@LAC4 and 0ct0b3rf35t conference in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, from 17th to 20th November 2025.
The LAC4 conference, a highly regarded regional one, brought together cybersecurity professionals, policymakers, researchers, and business leaders from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe to collaborate, share insights, and strengthen regional and global cyber resilience.
Mr Millington’s presentation explores the strategic imperative of building resilient digital economies in the Caribbean and beyond, emphasising the integration of cybersecurity, AI governance, and operational resilience. He highlighted the role of the security community in shaping digital trust, managing emerging risks, and enabling compliance to support sustainable innovation, economic growth, and regional sovereignty.
Additionally, as an expert in Cyber and Information, Mr Millington contributed significantly to various discussions, improving information exchange and experts’ competence at this important event.
In summary, Edward’s deliveries highlighted the urgency for cybersecurity experts to collaborate regionally and internationally to mentor new professionals and drive cultural change throughout social fabrics, which is essential to building regional economic resilience, digital trust and sovereignty.
